UNITA, the main opposition party in Angola, accused the regime of intensifying political intolerance in Angola. The party leader considered that the demonstrations of violence that usually accompany the "prohibitions" of political activities are a symptom of what he called the "disoriented power" of the Angolan Government.
The political formation led by Adalberto Costa Júnior understands that there is a pattern of violence associated with the restrictions imposed on the opposition, which according to UNITA reveals a governance without direction.
The accusation arises in a context of persistent political tensions between the ruling party, MPLA, and UNITA, which has been denouncing limitations to its political action and demonstrations by the Angolan authorities.
