At least one person died and around two thousand were displaced after an insurgent incursion that destroyed a tourist camp associated with former Portuguese-Mozambican coach Carlos Queiroz, in Mozambique's Niassa province. Mozambican authorities provided this information today about the attack.

The insurgent incursion caused significant destruction at the camp and forced approximately two thousand people to abandon their homes. This type of attack in the region has been causing mass displacement of the local population.
