PS accuses Government of profiting from fuel price increases

The PS again submitted a proposal to the Government for the reduction of fuel VAT. The opposition party considers that Portuguese people are being penalized by the increase in fuel prices.

The secretary-general of the PS, José Luís Carneiro, also accused the Executive of profiting 1,048 million euros from this situation, suggesting that the Government obtains financial benefits from the rise in fuel prices.
