The PSD/Madeira Parliamentary Group visited, this Friday, Casa Esperança, the first day and night center in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. This infrastructure is managed by the Garouta do Calhau Association and represents a social response for the elderly population of the region.
The social-democrat parliamentarians highlighted the Regional Government's investment in creating new social responses. These responses focus on the needs of the elderly population, with particular emphasis on home support.
The visit is part of PSD/Madeira's strategy to monitor and give visibility to governmental initiatives in the social area. The party acknowledges the efforts of the responsible authorities to expand support services for the elderly in the autonomous region.
