Minister Alexandre de Moraes, from the Federal Supreme Court, determined that the Federal Police deliver reports that mentioned members of the Court. In the one-page decision, he justified the request citing "various information about conduct of authorities tending to distance the independence" of the magistrates, without detailing what this information would be.
The order was addressed to the director-general of the Federal Police, Andrei Passos Rodrigues, and delivered on Tuesday. The following day, at 2:58 PM, six intelligence reports produced between August 3 and 31 were physically delivered to the STF, coinciding with the time of the first plenary session of the court after the recess.
Moraes' dispatch was signed after Minister André Mendonça, rapporteur of the Master case, made public the PF report that showed messages exchanged between Daniel Vorcaro and Moraes. One day before Moraes' decision, Mendonça had requested a statement from the Attorney General's Office about the Federal Police report.
