Botafogo fans are preparing a protest against former athletes Alexander Barboza and Marlon Freitas, who transferred to Palmeiras. The match between the two teams takes place next Sunday at Nilton Santos Stadium.
On social media, images circulate of fake R$3 bills with the faces of the two players, containing the words "judas," "mercenary," and "traitor." Additionally, Botafogo supporters report that they will change sections in the stadium to be closer to the Palmeiras bench.
In the Brasileirão standings, Botafogo occupies 12th place with 30 points and has not won in four matches, watching the relegation zone approach. Palmeiras, on the other hand, is the leader with 52 points and needs a victory to avoid the risk of being overtaken by Flamengo, who has 51.
