Presidential candidates Romeu Zema (Novo), Augusto Cury (Avante), Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), and Renan Santos (Missão) criticized the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and Justice Alexandre de Moraes following the developments in the investigation of the Master case. The candidates, who are competing for right-wing votes, used the crisis to attack the Court.
Former Governor of Minas Gerais Romeu Zema came to defend that Moraes' actions should result in his arrest. The candidate also defended the drafting of a new Constitution as part of his proposals for the country.
Ronaldo Caiado and Augusto Cury criticized the instability caused by the crisis at the STF. Both presidential candidates expressed concern about the Court's direction in light of the revelations.
A Federal Police report, made public by Justice André Mendonça's decision, showed evidence that Moraes may have edited the draft of the contract signed between his wife's law firm, lawyer Viviane Barci de Moraes, and Master bank. The investigation also revealed screenshots of conversations in which Vorcaro asks the magistrate for help to "sensitize authorities" and guidance on how he should proceed.
