SNS Reference Framework makes hiring new nurses unviable

The new Strategic Reference Framework (QGR) of the National Health Service for the three-year period 2026-2028 was published in the Official Gazette last Friday.

This document establishes the strategic and financial guidelines for the Local Health Units during this period.

The Order of Nurses has already expressed concern regarding this situation, warning that the reference framework makes hiring new nurses for the SNS unviable.

The QGR defines the limits and conditions that restrict the capacity of the ULS to reinforce their nursing staff.
