The traveling exhibition "Nós do Tejo. From Hunter-Gatherers to the Roman World" was inaugurated on Friday, September 4, at Parque Alfredo Bento Calado, next to the Municipal Library of Almeirim, where it will remain until October 9. The inauguration session was attended by politicians and representatives from the City Council and the Parish Council of Almeirim, as well as the organizers and local population.
The exhibition is dedicated to the evolution of the communities that inhabited the territory of Lezíria do Tejo over thousands of years. The exhibition is organized into four modules, identified by different colors, that follow the main historical periods covered.
The first module, in blue, serves as an introduction to the exhibition and the Tejo territory. The second module, in red, is dedicated to hunter-gatherers, nomadic communities that lived from hunting, fishing, and gathering and that moved according to available resources.
