The Portuguese Government will increase the discount on the excise duty on petroleum products (ISP) on both gasoline and diesel, by approximately 3 cents per liter on each fuel.
This measure was announced by the Minister of the Presidency, who highlighted that, with this new increase, the total value of the ISP discount already reaches 23 cents per liter on both gasoline and diesel.
The objective of this measure is to reduce fuel prices for consumers, mitigating the impact of the fuel price increases that have been observed.
The ISP discount is one of the tools the Government has used to respond to inflationary pressure on fuel prices.
