Nuno Jerónimo Augusto Neves Pereira, a finalist on Big Brother Summer and former senior player for Portimonense SC, is the subject of disciplinary proceedings initiated by the Disciplinary Committee of the Portuguese Football Federation for alleged illegal sports betting.
According to the accusation, Nuno Pereira placed at least 1,536 sports bets during the 2025/2026 season in official competitions. Of the total, 195 bets were placed on matches in the Campeonato de Portugal, the competition in which the former footballer participated, with 22 of those bets reportedly related to matches of his own Portimonense club.
The data comes from the investigation that gave rise to the FPF disciplinary proceedings and raises questions regarding compliance with the rules that prevent players from betting on certain competitions or matches covered by the disciplinary regulations. Nuno Pereira gained greater media exposure through his participation in Big Brother Summer, reaching the final phase of the reality show.
The case is under way at the FPF Disciplinary Committee. The situations described correspond, at this stage, to the allegations contained in the proceedings, with the competent disciplinary bodies tasked with assessing the facts and determining whether a violation occurred.
