Swimmer from APPACDM de Castelo Branco represents Special Olympics Portugal in international competition in Malta

Athlete Rafaela Louro, from APPACDM de Castelo Branco, will represent Special Olympics Portugal at the Special Olympics European Swimming Open Malta 2026. This is an international sports competition that takes place between September 10 and 14, at the National Swimming Pool Complex in Tal-Qroqq, Malta. The participation of the Albiacastrense swimmer in this large-scale swimming competition represents an important milestone both for the athlete individually and for the institution she represents. APPACDM de Castelo Branco announced this participation, highlighting the sporting achievement of its athlete by joining the Portuguese delegation at this European event.
