The deadlines set by the president of the Supreme Federal Court, Edson Fachin, for ministers André Mendonça and Alexandre de Moraes to respond to the Federal Police reports are expected to push the analysis of the crisis at the Court close to the first round of elections. Next week, there is an expectation of the delivery of the opinions on the document showing messages from banker Daniel Vorcaro to Moraes. As for the deadline for Mendonça's opinion regarding the accusations made by Moraes, it will only end the following week, just over 15 days before the election.
Between Thursday night and Friday morning, Fachin merged the two reports into the same procedure, separate and linked to his office. In the order signed this morning, related to the report made public by Moraes, the president of the STF recalled that the determinations are aimed at instructing the cases, without anticipating judgment regarding admissibility, the regularity of the procedure, or the merit of the issues involved.
