Anthony Valencia and Joaquín Freitas were officially presented by Flamengo at Ninho do Urubu after already having had their first contact with the fans at Maracanã last Wednesday. The young forwards are in the adaptation process in their first adventure in Brazilian football.
Joaquín Freitas, 19 years old, was purchased from River Plate in a deal of approximately R$ 40 million. According to the player, the decision to leave the Argentine club was difficult, but the sporting project and the challenge presented by Flamengo were decisive for the choice.
Freitas stated that he spoke with his family and his staff before making the decision, considering it the best option both for his career and for the club. He expressed contentment and great willingness to start playing for the red-and-black team.
Both players showed enthusiasm with the decision to join Flamengo's squad, seeing in the club a great opportunity for development in their careers in Brazilian football.
