Louzán insists from Ceuta: "The 2030 World Cup final has to be in Spain"

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General4 September 2026 at 16:42

The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzán, reiterated this Friday in Ceuta that Spain should be the host of the 2030 football World Cup.

Louzán stated that Spain is "the best country in football currently", expressing his position on the bid with "all respect and affection" for the other countries involved.

Louzán highlighted that the final decision on the location of the final must be made by FIFA, the entity responsible for organizing the tournament.

This declaration occurs in the context of the joint bid for the 2030 World Cup, which involves several countries and for which Louzán continues to advocate that the final must be held in Spanish territory.
