The federal deputy Duda Salabert (PSOL-MG) stated she was a victim of an attempted homicide in the early hours of this Friday, during an inspection of a possible illegal mining activity on the border between Belo Horizonte and Nova Lima, in the Metropolitan Region. The parliamentarian, a candidate for re-election, suffered abrasions and a dislocation of her right shoulder.
Duda was accompanied by advisor Felipe Gomes, 44 years old, who is running for a seat as a state deputy. According to information from the police report, the two noticed men acting suspiciously near an access road to Nova Lima.
The parliamentarian began filming the location to record a possible clandestine ore extraction. Also according to the account given to the police, the men approached, and Duda and Felipe were attacked. No one has been arrested so far.
