Nepal: Death toll from floods rises to 1,295 after rescue of two men alive

Sábado4 September 2026 at 16:31

The death toll from flooding in Nepal has risen to 1,295, according to the latest count of the tragedy. Rescue operations allowed two people to be saved alive, a fact that brings a small hope amid the destruction caused by the floods.

The situation is also serious on the Chinese side, where state media reported 31 dead and 531 missing in the Tibet region. This area was also severely affected by the same floods that devastated Nepal.

The floods caused widespread devastation in both regions, forcing thousands of people to abandon their homes. Authorities in both countries continue with search and rescue operations to try to find more survivors among the rubble and flooded areas.
