Belgian Wout van Aert, rider of the Visma-Lease a Bike team, won the 13th stage of the Vuelta a España, which took place between Almuñécar and Loja. This victory represents another success for the athlete in this year's edition of the Spanish race.
Spaniard Enric Mas, who competes for the Movistar team, maintained the lead in the general classification after the conclusion of this stage. The difference between the top placed riders in the overall standings did not change significantly.
