The American businessman Andres Barquero Dembo, 44 years old, was found dead on Thursday morning (3) in the room where he was staying at the Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel, in the South Zone of São Paulo. The Civil Police registered the case as a suspicious death and is investigating the circumstances of the death.
Dembo was the commercial director for Latin America of a multinational pharmaceutical company and was in Brazil for professional commitments. His husband contacted the hotel after finding the lack of news strange. Staff went to the room and found him already deceased.
On social media, the businessman maintained a routine linked to sports practice and usually shared posts of running, cycling, and weight training, as well as long-distance events held in different countries.
