The National Semi-Final of the New 7 Wonders of Portugal® takes place on Saturday, September 5, at 9:30 PM, at the National Palace of Sintra, in the historic center of the town. The initiative marks the entry of the competition into the national phase and will be decisive in determining the heritage sites that advance to the Grand National Final.
In total, 49 National Semi-finalists are in competition, seven for each of the seven categories in the contest. In this phase, the public plays a decisive role, through voting that will define the 21 National Finalists, three per category.
The semi-final also constitutes an opportunity to give greater visibility to the diversity of Portuguese heritage, highlighting its contribution to national identity, tourism attractiveness and valorization of the territories.
The stage held in Sintra thus marks a decisive moment in the journey of the candidates towards the Grand National Final of the New 7 Wonders of Portugal®.
