Teacher recruitment in Portugal will undergo significant changes. From now on, the process of hiring teachers will be carried out daily, instead of previous methods.
The main objective of this change is to ensure that students do not go without classes due to the lack of teachers. This measure aims to solve more quickly the problems of teacher absences in schools.
The changes were introduced through a Decree-Law that was approved at the end of July, during a cabinet meeting. This new legislation brings other novelties beyond the daily recruitment of teachers.
