The number of dead in the devastating floods in Nepal has risen to 1,295, according to information released today by Nepali authorities. The previous toll indicated a lower number of fatalities, but the total was updated with the new counts.
The number of missing decreased to 4,898, a reduction from previous figures. Authorities continue to work on search and rescue operations in areas affected by the floods.
Two men were rescued alive after being trapped for ten days in a tunnel. The rescue of these two people occurred when a decade had already passed since the start of the catastrophe caused by the floods in Nepal.
