The perception of your country is being built right now, one narrative at a time

SAPO Notícias4 September 2026 at 15:30

The perception of your country is being built right now, one narrative at a time. Last May, thirty Country and City Brand managers gathered in Lisbon for a working session organized by City Nation Place. These professionals came from governments, tourism bodies, investment agencies and trade promotion organizations from four continents. At one point during the day, the organizer posed them a question that made the room fall silent. The article suggests that perceptions about countries are built through narratives that form moment by moment, and that this type of meeting aims to reflect on how these narratives are created and managed.
