A couple was gathered with relatives at Stearman Bar and Grill in Benton, Kansas, United States, to celebrate their daughter's 2nd birthday, when they experienced a bizarre scene. Before the "happy birthday," a stranger approached the table, bent down, kissed the girl on one cheek and blew out the birthday candle placed on a dessert with ice cream from the restaurant. The scene went viral after being posted on Facebook.
According to Cassie Berrios, the birthday girl's mother, the man in the video was identified as the establishment's owner himself. She described that the man approached her daughter while she was trying to blow out the candle, wrapping his arm around the girl and calling her "beautiful."
According to the mother's account, the owner tried to kiss the girl on the lips, but the child turned her head to the opposite side, causing him to kiss her on the right cheek. Cassie classified the behavior as "repugnant" on social media.
The family was celebrating a special moment for the child when the incident occurred, and the mother decided to share the video publicly to warn other parents about the inappropriate behavior of the restaurant owner.
