Three years after the death of a fan during a Taylor Swift concert in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian government promulgated a law that became known as the "Taylor Swift Law". The young woman died due to the extreme heat experienced during the show.
The new legislation requires that event promoters be obligated to distribute free drinking water to spectators. This measure applies to all events that accommodate more than one thousand people.
The approval of this law comes as a response to the criticism that arose after the tragedy, when the lack of safety measures and access to water at concerts held in intense heat conditions was questioned.
