The young motocycling pilot Bayne Nantz, 17 years old, died on Tuesday night (1), ten days after suffering a serious accident during a Flat Track race at the Peoria TT, in Illinois, United States. The teenager was leading the race when he crashed during the Dan Bromley Memorial, a competition held in honor of another pilot who died in an accident earlier this year.

According to the family, Nantz suffered severe traumatic brain injury and hemorrhage, in addition to fractures to the hip and pelvis, bladder laceration, elbow and shoulder dislocations, and bruises to the lung and heart. He had been hospitalized at the OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois since the accident, which occurred on August 22.

The family posted a farewell on the Nantz Bros Racing team page, paying tribute to the young pilot. The accident occurred while Nantz was leading the Dan Bromley Memorial race, a competition that already carried the memory of another fatally injured pilot earlier this year.
