The Municipality of Almeirim, in partnership with the Child and Youth Protection Commission of Almeirim, will hold on September 8 the seminar "Education: Today's difficulties... tomorrow's challenges", at the Multipurpose Space of Almeirim. The initiative is integrated into the opening of the 2026/2027 school year and aims to create a space for reflection, sharing of experiences and debate on current challenges in education. The program is aimed at professionals, technicians and agents in the areas of education, childhood, youth and social action.
Participant reception begins at 09:00, followed at 09:30 by the opening session, which features the participation of the president of the Municipal Council of Almeirim, Joaquim Catalão, the directors of the school groupings of the municipality and José Luís Avelino, from the Lezíria do Tejo Training Centre.
The first panel, scheduled for 10:15, will be dedicated to the theme "Violence in school context: understanding the phenomenon", featuring Raquel António, psychologist from the Ministry of Education team. This panel aims to address and debate the phenomenon of violence in the school context.
