The National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) rented five vehicles while awaiting the delivery of the 275 new ambulances promised by the Government. This situation arises at a time when INEM faces operational challenges related to its fleet.

On January 8, the Executive announced the acquisition of 275 new vehicles for INEM. However, the implementation of this plan has not yet been completed, which led the institute to resort to renting vehicles as a temporary measure.

The Ministry of Health is responsible for coordinating this acquisition, which aims to modernize and strengthen INEM's fleet. The rental of the five vehicles represents an interim solution while the purchase process of the new ambulances is not completed.
