A woman approximately 65 years old was run over by a Civil Police vehicle on Thursday night in the BRT lane on Minister Edgard Romero Avenue, in Madureira, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The accident occurred around 6 PM and the victim was in serious condition. Firefighters reported that she was rescued and taken to Getúlio Vargas State Hospital, in Penha.
According to preliminary information from officers present at the scene, rescue services were called urgently. The vehicle involved in the accident would have been from the 28th Police Station (Praça Seca). The Civil Police reported that forensics analysis will be carried out at the scene of the accident to investigate the circumstances of the case.
The case was registered at the 29th Police Station, but there is no updated information on the victim's health condition at this time.
