Pauline Hanson, leader of the Australian far right and founder of the One Nation party, threatens to break the bipartisanship that has prevailed in Australian democracy. At 73 years old and an admirer of Donald Trump, Hanson is preparing for a major electoral leap in the federal elections scheduled for 2028, with polls giving her 30% voting intention, above the Labor Party (in government) and the Coalition (liberals and conservatives), the main traditional forces. It is the first time that a third party surpasses traditional Australian parties in opinion polls.
