International Amnesty accused Israel of accelerating the annexation process of the West Bank through new land confiscation orders in Jenin and other areas of Palestinian territory.
The human rights organization denounces that these land appropriations have the alleged objective of expanding Israeli settlements and further fragmenting the territory controlled by Palestinians.
According to Amnesty, the measures include areas that are under the administration of the Palestinian Authority, worsening the humanitarian and political situation in the region.
The accusation comes in the context of growing concerns about the continuity of Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank, a territory occupied since 1967.
