The Health Minister of the Valencian Community, Marciano Gómez, visited the Hospital General de Castellón this Friday and assured that the works on the new hospital are progressing "on time and as planned", although he did not specify a date for the start of the works. During the visit, the head of the Health department limited himself to stating that the works will begin "as soon as possible" and that "shortly" more information will be provided on the matter.
The new Hospital General project maintains as its horizon its opening between late 2026 and early 2027. However, Marciano Gómez's statements did not clarify whether this schedule will be met, since the minister did not specify concrete dates for the start of construction.
The Health Minister's visit to the Hospital General de Castellón comes in a context where regional authorities defend that the project is within the established parameters, but the absence of concrete time commitments fuels uncertainties about meeting the announced deadlines.
