The PS - Socialist Party of the Azores accused the Regional Government of continuing to respond to problems only when they reach limit situations. The accusation arises in reaction to the recent disclaimers of responsibility presented by Radiology professionals in the region.
The socialists met with the National Union of Health Superior Technicians of the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Areas to discuss the situation. The meeting aimed to analyze the lack of radiology technicians that affects the region.
The union had already expressed concern about the scarcity of these professionals, a situation that has impacted regional health services. The lack of radiology technicians has caused problems in providing healthcare to the population.
This is not the first time that the PS draws attention to the way the Regional Government manages human resources problems in health, criticizing the lack of prevention and planning.
