The night of this Friday was marked by intense gunfire in the Santa Teresa region, in the Central zone of Rio de Janeiro. According to reports from residents, the exchange of gunfire was so intense that it could be heard in neighboring neighborhoods, such as Laranjeiras, in the city's South Zone.
The shots reportedly occurred amid a dispute between drug dealers in the Fallet community. Five people were injured during the confrontation, according to information reported by residents on social media.
Local residents reported that they were frightened by the intensity of the gunfire during the night. The episode rekindled the concern of the local population regarding violence in the central region of the city.
