The Municipal Council of Caminha will proceed with the installation of video surveillance in the historic center of the town. The announcement was made by the president of the municipality, Liliana Silva, during an executive meeting held this Wednesday.
The decision comes following several concerns raised by episodes of violence and vandalism recorded during the beach season. The incidents included assaults, damage to private properties and destruction of urban furniture.
The reinforcement of security through this video surveillance system aims to deter violent behavior and protect both residents and visitors of the historic center of Caminha.
