Yan Diomande, 19-year-old Ivorian striker, became the most expensive signing in Real Madrid history when he was bought for €125 million, equivalent to approximately R$795 million. Since then, the player has yet to start any match as a starter this season.
So far, Diomande has taken the field for only 57 minutes distributed across three games: 25 minutes against Espanyol, six against Real Sociedad and 26 against Málaga. The limited playing time caught the attention of the Madrid fans.
Coach José Mourinho clarified that there is no cause for concern and revealed he has developed a special plan for the player's integration. The strategy involves reducing the pressure on Diomande, respecting his adaptation period and increasing his playing time gradually.
Mourinho stated that the young striker works hard, shows openness to learning and listens to advice from his teammates. The coach emphasized that he does not intend to rush the player's starting role before he is fully integrated into the group.
