Trump points to hatred between Zelensky and Putin as obstacle to peace

Donald Trump considered that the mutual hatred between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin is the greatest obstacle to ending the war in Ukraine. The statement was made by the former president of the United States amid discussions about possible peace negotiations for the conflict.

Zelensky is the president of Ukraine, while Putin is the president of Russia. The two leaders are on opposite sides of the conflict that began with Russia's invasion of Ukrainian territory in February 2022.

Trump, who was president of the US until January 2021 and maintained a stance frequently critical of the war, suggested that the personal animosity between the two leaders hinders any attempt at an agreement that could lead to the resolution of the conflict.
