The Association of Family Health Units issued a statement to celebrate 20 years of existence of these units. In the document, the association called for streamlining the process of creating new family health units.
The association highlighted a substantial improvement in the monitoring of people with chronic diseases, as well as the increase in coverage of population screenings. Excellent results in child and maternal surveillance were also mentioned.
Another point highlighted by the association was the building of a relationship of greater trust with the population over these two decades of existence of family health units.
