Associação Zero launched a platform to monitor night flights in Lisbon, allowing the tracking of air movements during the nighttime period in the Portuguese capital.
The data collected since the beginning of the year revealed a total of 4,647 aircraft movements between midnight and 06:00. Of these movements, 1,165 occurred between 01:00 and 05:00.
This period between 01:00 and 05:00 is precisely the one in which the Government announced that a night flight ban would be established, the association states.
The platform was created to allow monitoring and oversight of night flights, highlighting the data that the association considers relevant for the debate on limiting air traffic during the night in Lisbon.
