However, the Portuguese Liga remains very far from the European Big5 in market values, with the Premier League leading with more than 13 billion euros.
Sporting CP was the great protagonist by breaking a historic sales record, exceeding 200 million euros, driven by the sale of key players such as Hjulmand, Trincão, Diomande and Pedro Gonçalves. The club from Alvalade compensated with an investment of 123.2 million euros, including the signing of Zalazar from SC Braga for 30 million. Benfica generated revenue of 128.4 million euros, with Dedic's sale assuming great importance, and spent 85.2 million. SC Braga also finished in the green with 66.1 million in sales.
Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes, formed at Sporting, quintupled his value when transferred from West Ham to Tottenham for 99 million euros, occupying seventh position among the ten most valuable transfers of this window.
