The II Liga match between Farense and Desportivo de Chaves, initially scheduled for Sunday, was postponed to October 4th due to a viral outbreak affecting several players from the Algarve team. The Portuguese Professional Football League confirmed the date change in a statement, explaining that the postponement was decided after "mutual agreement between both sports clubs." The match will be played at 11:00, at Estádio de São Luís in Faro.

The viral condition in the Algarve team's squad began last week, before the match against Sporting B, for the fourth round of the II Liga. In that match, which the Algarve team lost 2-1, André Candeias, Farense's winger, was left out due to illness.

The symptoms, which include fever, vomiting, and diarrhea, have spread to several athletes who are under medical supervision. The club informed fans who purchased physical tickets to keep them to exchange during the week before the postponed match. Those who bought tickets online should send an email to obtain information about the procedure to follow.
