Slow ticket sales pace for first game in Rio doesn't worry NFL: 'Confident in fans' passion'

There are practically three weeks left until the first NFL game in Rio de Janeiro, but there are still tickets available for the matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens at Maracanã. The American football league is facing a different situation compared to the first two events held in Brazil, in São Paulo, in 2024 and 2025, when tickets for Neo Química Arena sold out in a few hours. Still, the NFL is betting it will sell the entire inventory by September 27.

In a press conference attended by GLOBO, Executive Vice President Peter O'Reilly acknowledged that demand at a larger stadium is a challenge, but guaranteed that the sales flow "is not out of the ordinary." He stated that the league feels very confident in Brazilian fans' passion for the sport.
