A driver was fined 100 euros for having a breakdown on the road and, although he had correctly used the V-16 luminous beacon to signal the accident, did not have the mandatory V-13 documentation visible. The Guardia Civil is intensifying surveillance on these road safety requirements.

The Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) will implement from this Friday until Sunday the second special device of the summer 2026 operation. During this period, 5.6 million trips are expected on Spanish roads.

The article comes in a context of preparation for summer vacation, when many drivers use the roads to travel. The Guardia Civil reinforces controls to ensure compliance with safety regulations during this period of higher traffic on the roads.
