Burriana prepares a poster with 19 wild bulls for the Misericòrdia

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General4 September 2026 at 05:00

The 2026 Misericòrdia festivities in Burriana will have bullfighting tradition as the main feature, transforming the Vila venue into one of the main points of activity during the celebrations. The festive program includes the exhibition of 19 wild bulls, fierce animals of free-range breeding, which will mark the return of bullfighting festivities to the city.

The wooden bleachers, the structure used for bullfights, will once again serve as a meeting point for enthusiasts and local club members. The participation of the city's bullfighting clubs will be directly involved in the organization and promotion of the events.

Among the highlights of the poster are some of the most renowned bull ranches in the national bullfighting scene, ensuring the quality and prestige of the specimens that will be presented. This edition promises to maintain the level of previous Misericòrdia festivities.

Barça and Real Madrid discard Spanish talent on the benches

Spanish football is going through a moment of great international prestige, with its coaches being highly valued and commanding some of the biggest clubs in the world. However, paradoxically, neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid, the two biggest Spanish clubs, hire Spanish coaches for their benches. Despite the Spanish national team having become world champions, and national coaches being at the peak of their historical value, the Spanish giants prefer to invest in foreign coaches, generating a contrast between the success of Spanish football and the lack of opportunities for their own coaches at the biggest clubs in the country.
