Aircraft movement at Cape Verde's airports increased 14.5% in the second quarter compared to the same period of 2025, while passenger traffic grew 4.6%. This information was announced on Thursday, September 3, by the National Statistics Institute (INE) of the African country.
According to the Transport Statistics report, based on data from the Civil Aviation Agency (AAC) of the Republic of Cape Verde, 799,709 passengers moved through the country's airports and airfields, representing 35,516 more than in the second quarter of 2025.
Between April and June, 9,572 aircraft movements were recorded, compared to 8,358 in the same period of the previous year, reflecting the 14.5% growth in the archipelago's air sector.
