Datafolha: Lula has 38% in the first round of the presidential election; Bolsonaro appears with 33%, and Cury rises to 8%

The Datafolha survey released on Thursday shows President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) in the lead in the first round of the presidential race, with 38% of voting intentions, a slight decline from the 39% recorded in August. The socialist is followed by Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL), who appears in second place with 33%, maintaining the same index as the previous survey.

The data also reveals the significant growth of writer Augusto Cury (Avante), who went from 2% to 8% in two weeks, approaching the two leaders. Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) has 4%, tied with Cury at the margin of error limit, which is 2 percentage points. Former federal deputy Ronaldo Caiado appears with 4%.

Among the remaining candidates, there are Renan Santos (Missao), with 3%, and Romeu Zema (Novo), with 2%. With 1% of voting intentions are Samara Martins (UP), Edmilson Costa (PCB), and Rui Costa Pimenta (PCO). Wilson Grassi (Democrata) appears with 0%, down from 1%.
