French authorities will implement exceptional security measures for Pope Leo XIV's visit to France, scheduled for the end of September. The French government announced that 15,000 security force members will be mobilized at the peak of the event.
The French Minister of the Interior, Laurent Nuñez, specified the details in an interview published on the website of the Catholic newspaper La Croix. According to Nuñez, approximately 14,000 security force members will be mobilized in Paris, while 1,000 will be deployed to Lourdes, in the southwest of the country.
