The people of Ceuta protest again, this time against the sites being prepared for migrants by the Government

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General3 September 2026 at 21:39

A hundred residents of Ceuta came out to protest and gather in a demonstration against the plans of the national Government to create sites for migrants. The demonstration took place on Thursday.

The residents oppose the sites that the Spanish Executive is preparing as a preliminary step to expel these people. The migrants would be installed in these spaces before being expelled from Spanish territory.

The concentration brought together hundreds of people, continuing a pattern of mobilization by the people of Ceuta against the migratory policies of the central Government. Ceuta has been a critical point in the Spanish migratory issue.

This is not the first time that the inhabitants of Ceuta have demonstrated on issues related to immigration and border management.
