Sporting Clube de Portugal registered all of their signings for the competition known as the "Champions," which refers to the Champions League. Coach Rui Borges selected a squad of 25 players to join the team in this European competition.
Among those registered are ten newly arrived players at the club, commonly referred to as "the ten new faces of the lions," who complete the list of available players for the competition.
Sporting, known by the lion symbol, thus proceeded with the formal registration of their new players with UEFA, complying with the competition regulations that require a limited list of athletes.
With this decision, the winter signings or those from the season become eligible to play in the more advanced stage of the Champions League, depending on the specific competition regulations regarding registration deadlines.
