American President Donald Trump stated this Thursday that the United States has "almost unlimited" medium and long-range ammunition to continue the war against Iran, with production at "unprecedented" levels and being accumulated for future contingencies.
According to Trump, the United States is reserving ammunition for its own use instead of selling it to other countries, although sales to allies should resume soon. The President also accused the previous Joe Biden administration of giving Ukraine ammunition "at no cost" far exceeding what is currently being used in the war against Iran, stating that "hundreds of billions of dollars" were given to Ukraine and NATO.
On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump accused those claiming that the United States does not have ammunition of being "completely wrong" and "committing treason," suggesting that these critics prefer to see the United States lose the war rather than see it win.
The war against Iran began on February 28 with a joint offensive by the United States and Israel. In recent days, as six months of conflict were completed, American bombings intensified significantly, with the most intense attacks in more than a month against five Iranian provinces, causing almost 20 dead.
